I bet it was a Super Cub 105 at one time, you can see the bottom of the box in one of the pics and the landing gear looks to be correct.

Yup lol but anyone who has seen an airplane should know that's not a cub!

What a gem!
Possibly a little mis-labeled.

Or someone who doesn't know a thing about planes...

Point taken but as an eBay seller I know to do all the research I can prior to listing.
Re: Biggest eBay listing error :)
The seller was inadvertently about half right, if you notice the engine, prop, black spinner and landing gear are all from a early Super Cub 105, looks like someone probably smacked in the 105 and got a balsa kit to replace it!
Now can someone name the balsa kit?

Cant put a finger on it but it looks very familiar.

I would of guessed a Musciano design, but I was clueless to the model.
Re: Biggest eBay listing error :)
Itr's a tough little plane. If it isn't fuel soaked it should be quick to refurbish. Remove and replace the firewall, 1/8" plywood, a wrap of fiberglass tape and slather it with 60 minute epoxy for fuel proofing. Sand it, paint it, and fly it.Mark Boesen wrote:RknRusty wrote:It's a Walt Musciano Combat Master.

Re: Biggest eBay listing error :)
yep, i saw the listing, the winning bidder paid 25 bucks for a plane and a engine shipped, and got a fun little project.
