The #1939 should be for the Corsair.

Re: Comanche and other unknown needle valve
Thats a new one on me, I've never seen a yellow needle on a Corsair? Could you please post a photo?
Re: Comanche and other unknown needle valve
Looks like its off of the Spook engine form the 60's. It had a cast aluminum backplate.

Hi Mud,
Weren't these also found on early Avion Mustangs and Green Stukas? I also remember seeing two different lengths?

Not to be rude just wanted to make sure, I am always mis-spelling stuff and if anyone sees it please point it out to me via PM,email or just in the thread.

Re: Comanche and other unknown needle valve
You are not rude and I am thankful. I would otherwise have used "Helldriver" as I have never seen that aircraft and know nothing about it.

Re: Comanche and other unknown needle valve
Heres the 'Helldiver'
I've had the one in the photo since 6th grade, a kid that lived a couple blocks away had it and I traded him a Aurora Se-5a 'screw together' model kit I converted to C/L by installing a Golden Bee and bellcrank. Thank god I never tried to fly it, I probably wouldn't have it today.

Re: Comanche and other unknown needle valve
The short one was also used on the Bushmaster untill 1964
They where also used on some of the 290's replacement engines.
As i understands it Cox stopped using them in April 1964, correct??

I would have to fly it at least once. I have heard a lot of rumors at how bad Cox RTF planes flew. Since I was born way after their production, I will have to get one from ebay. Either used or new, I will attempt to fly it at least once. Just to see what everyone was talking about.
