stuck throttle ring on cox .049 car engine
can anyone help? the throttle ring on my cox car engine cylinder is frozen to the cylinder, the rest of the engine turns over like new

1. Soak it in fuel for a few days.
2. Do the same with laquer thinner
3. Soak it in penetrating oil (liquid wrench)
4. Soak it in denatured alcohol.
There are many other ways, but these are the easiest. Heat it up before you attempt to turn it.

Take a hair dryer and warm it up on the high setting. Best is to use gloves as it can get hot. Once the engine is warm then it should start to turn.

Blow dryer or boil it in water for 20 mins with 4 or 5 drops of automatic dishwasher detergent.

After seeing what months in Meths (denatured) does to glow heads I'd advise not leaving engines in it for more than
a day or two.

ok, ill soak it in fuel for a couple of days then use a hair dryer to warm up the cylinder, thank you for all the suggestions guys

Model covering heat gun works very well to free up froze up parts. Hair dyrer is used to dry hair not generate ample heat. Soaking in fuel is ok but really tight parts will stay tight. Just be careful with gun on plastic parts.
