I decided to clean up and rebuild a few more engines.  I decided to tackle some Golden Bee engines tonight.  One Golden Bee tank had an iffy reed valve seat, so it was put aside, but I did get two Golden Bees and a Champaign Bee rebuilt with all the correct parts.  In the box was a Black Widow.  But was it original?  It had the #1 cylinder and what appears to be the correct tank and back.  I cleaned it up thoroughly and put in a new gasket and o-ring.  Digging out a no-drag starter spring brought it back to original specs.  But I don't know if the Black Widow came with a low or high compression head. I never bought one new.  Which do I put on it?

302-1 or 325 pick one ;; #302-1 Post 1955 Standard Head - Hemispherical shape - Low Compression - Larger dia. threads - used on all engines produced post 1955 until the #325 head was produced in 1979.[27]
#325 Standard Head - Hemispherical shape - Low Compression - Larger dia. threads - used on all post 1956 engines except Tee Dees, QZ, Killer Bees, Venom and Texaco. Replaced 302-1 head in 1979.  frow wiki . Babe Bee .049
