I had to work on that Olympic .15 when I got it.
The bearings were rusted
The front one was rusted to where they wouldn't turn. The back bearing was rusted to the shaft.
You can see the rust on the front bearing in the photo and the other bearing stuck on the crankshaft.

Replace both bearings with Boca bearings.
Good reason to use lubricating oil on your engines after you run them for the day?

It was a nail biter in the last 2 hours. I was tied with #1 until the last hour or so. Affraid or WOW!
Someone cast the winning vote at the last moment for my engine. Thumbs Up

Next month:
I have received another engine from a friend (in Australia).
I'll have to work over this engine for next months "Engine of the Month"
Traded him this next engine for "four" strips of Perma-grit sanding strips (course grade).
I shipped the strips to Australia (shipping was almost $28.00)

A tease until next month.
