I posted this in the models section but thought I'd include it in this forum for the engine geeks who don't look there. This is probably the only footage out there of a Tim Wiltse-built Mangusta DR .049 rear rotary induction engine in flight. It's installed on my new plane, the Scalpel(see the model section or the build thread over at RCU). In this vid, it's spinning an APC 5x3 prop.

It seems to be happy with the 5x3. The engine revs nicely once it gets in the air and leans out, and the plane looks like it goes exactly where you point it with no lag. I'd say it's the right engine/prop/airframe match-up. As only a humble C/L flyer, that's my take on it..
