Re: E-BAY mystery engine
Not to be of much help, but a guess would be that it appears to be of approximately .09 size in comparison. The 'squarish' appearing tank may be the best help in identifying until you get it. Good luck. Will be interesting to see what it is.

CONGRATS ON THE SUPER BUY,
Love the airplane dashboard dials!
It looks to me like a K&B stallion:

Thanks, Do you think it is an .049 or did they make stallions in bigger engine sizes too ?Marleysky wrote:CONGRATS ON THE SUPER BUY,

Re: E-BAY mystery engine
I'm not sure what it is akj, but that's an interesting lot of bits. The assortment of bell cranks is interesting and I bet useful in the future.
Waiting to find out what that engine really is.

Re: E-BAY mystery engine
Great news that they had arrived, the fact you got the mystery engine properly identified, and got the two Cox engines running. However, sorry to hear that the nice mystery engine is missing the piston.

Re: E-BAY mystery engine
Nice score , they probably used the piston as a donor ?/ either way one you want have to try and make run LOL Got some good wrenches too i see The fully in closed ones are nice if you dont have one also fit the TD and Medallion back plates

Re: E-BAY mystery engine
The starter unit resembles the one on my problematic Cub .060 that I'm still afraid to disassemble.
