Hey, people, y'all got a head start on me! Thanks. As I write this, I will have been born in roughly 4 hours... in a thunderstorm, on Palm Sunday, March 25th, 1956. I actually started this reply 11 hours ago, but the power blipped and I got distracted for the rest of the day. My Sister's birthday is the day after mine, and 3 years later, so we'll probably get together this weekend.

Thanks for thinking of me, I appreciate that alot. It's amazing to have friends that care all over the country, and all over the world. You guys rock!

And I had a question I wanted to ask in case my Mom sends me a little Bday stipend. Regarding LED shop lighting. I don't want to remove ballasts, I just want to hang them up and go to work. Right now I have a 48" dual tube fluorescent fixture over each of all four sides of my table. What would be y'all's reasonably priced recommendation to replace those? And what about color temperature... I'm thinking mixed, maybe a blueish and a yellowish lamp in each fixture. That may be too much blue. I'm really interested in seeing what you all think about this.

For the lighting, what kind of tubes do you have in your lights now? Cool white, soft white, etc?

I personally don't like that blue "daylight" light.

I picked up one of the $34.00 lights(top of page), and it's straight-up white light.
Hopefully you can find something here.

Roddie, ya see that "6" in front of your age... well I assure you, you're about like me, just another old white guy.
And I want to get older and older, and somehow I amazingly keep pulling it off. We have West Virginia Bob and Andrew here to prove it can be done. Andrew is one of my earliest forum buddies, dating back to the RCG days when I didn't know tail heavy from yaw. And Andrew, I miss my stories too, writing was one of my most treasured hobbies and pleasures. Not only am I not flying, but my fingers just won't type anymore without a fair amount of cursing and re-typing. However I bet the warm weather will bring my digital dexterity and creativity back out, it sure is making me feel alive again. So stand by, there may be yet some more classic Rockin' Rusty waiting to bust out into print.

Colors... I don't like the blue either, but mixed in properly with other whitish variants, they make a lot of details more visible than one mono color. And I want BRIGHT. I want lots of lumens. I still have excellent vision, btw.
