Cox Tee Dee .09 Gold Prop Plate
Hi Gents
I have a good running TD .09. However the prop plate was too close to the fuselage for a run and has worn off a band of the gold anodizing. Doesn't affect the performance but drives me crazy and doesn't look good. I have been looking for a gold prop plate for this to replace as I don't anodize myself. Where is one of those fellows available?
Thanks
Iceberg

I am not sure if this is the old stock anodized or straight silver aluminum..it looks kinda goldish but you better ask Matt. Ebay also pops up some 09 parts sometimes.

Re: Cox Tee Dee .09 Gold Prop Plate
Medallion 09 driveplate is similar but without the anodizing, could be that the one on Matt's site is one of those. Both Matt and Bernie are known for quick responses to email questions, and sometimes they have stuff that is not yet on their websites.
If neither of "the usual suspects" has the correct drive plate, I would just sand/polish the rest of the anodizing off the existing drive plate and use it as it is and keep a look out for a new one here, in ebay and maybe other places too.
I have an extra bottom end assembly for a Tee Dee 09, New in Bubble pack, but with postage and all that might be a bit extensive for fixing a small(ish) cosmetic flaw on an otherwise good engine.

Yes I was thinking to make the plate an aluminum color one. However I would love to restore the original color when possible.
Thanks

Re: Cox Tee Dee .09 Gold Prop Plate
See if Matt or Bernie will include any silver .09 driveplates in with the next batch of parts they have anodized gold. Bernie did some .15 driveplates several years ago and they came out nice, replaced the pliers chewed on one on my TD .15.
Re: Cox Tee Dee .09 Gold Prop Plate
I can hold one back for you and toss it in a batch next time we do gold if you want.

Thanks Mat
I'll let you know for the moment I've sanded the gold off and have a silver one. I'll see if I will change back to gold.
