Tee Dee .049 cylinder and piston
Hi everyone, I have some problems with my cylinder and my piston won’t fully slide into the cylinder. I would like to hopefully buy both a cylinder and piston if possible or just a cylinder. Thank you everyone.

Hey Dstradt, I and many others have run into the same problem. Check out this thread for possible remedies for your cylinders:

RE: Tee Dee .049 cylinder and piston
I want to mention a method I've used to "re-fit" a Cox tapered piston and cylinder.
The method takes a ton of patience and constant checking the slide fit.
I found a plastic ball point pen that had a taper at the end and then wrapped a piece of 600 grit emery paper around it ( once or it will have a diameter too big for the bore).
Then a drop of machine oil on the paper and twisting in and out slowly.
Every 5 twists try to slide the piston in.
After a while the piston will go toward TDC and keep going very slowly until you get the desired fit.
Clean it all up and oil with machine oil and you should be good to go and ready to launch.
I began this method years ago after the aggravation of seeing great pieces that were useless.
Use the touch of a jeweler and not a blacksmith !!!
Hope it helps.... YMMV
