I like that trans-axle..
It looks like it might fit nicely into a 1:18 scale tether-car chassis like this one..
See this thread for past info on the man behind these masterpieces; Leo Squires.

I haven't run one in 55 years but when I was little they seemed to haul butt!! The cable is pretty short.

Another fairly close poll, each had a good percentage of the votes, but Mark took this one!
Great photography and great subject!

I am not sure how many websites dedicated to "antique" stuff there are around but I think CEF is centered on something very unique and I am very happy to be a member here
. Maybe I see it wrong but COX is a brand comparable to Levi's and Coca Cola or Harley Davidson...genuine as commodity but unsurpassable by akin brands??? Feel free to cool my obsessed self if I have reached to extremes in my such assessments..(or blame it on a child whose dreams came true late in his adulthood )

Congrats, Mark on the win.
When you say "fake", do you mean that you used an RR-1 crankcase but the aluminum tank was doctored to look like the ribbed RR-1? And also by "fake" that the intake valving was through reed valve and not by a rear rotor?

Nope, they're just plain jane reedies, with 8cc tanks. We used the later 70's thicker cases.
