Re: Cox Riviera wanted to restore.
Best advise I can offer is to keep looking on EBay. They do show up occasionally. You can also search your local Craigslist and surrounding areas.
Here’s one sold last November:

Or if you want Beige, here’s a BIN

Mark - whew, glad you made the purchase. I didn’t want it to get lonely all by itself. I’m glad it went to a good home that will restore it. Eric’s lead will point you to the chrome bumpers and stuff, bee ready to take out a small mortgage!
If you really get hooked, here’s a basket case Corvette, just northwest of Chicago

“Make me an offer” ?
Edit: if you have not read thru it, here’s a link to Really good Corvette resto. You might PM him to get details on those plastic latches, so you can rebuild the front hinges the same way.

Excellent looking work!! Body polished up nicely. The two listing of chrome are still active on Ebay. both still under $100! but wait till the last minute or 4 seconds for them dastardly snipers

Re: Cox Riviera wanted to restore.
Yeah, it takes a keen eye to know where and what for on these cylinders. Number 2 is a very popular number cylinder. If you want to see more numbers and descriptions please go to the left hand side of this page, scroll down under “More latest topics “ and select “cylinder identification “ under the INFO headline. There is also a pictorial of side view and cut away views of the cylinders here:

Go to the left hand side and click on Technical Info”
You can spend a few hours wandering thru Martins web pages, if you want to, it’s fun and educational too!

Hi, I found the chrome at modelhaus. They are out of business but, I called them and bought all the Riviera pieces they had left in stock. I got lucky, even have some extra pieces!!
