The Rogers .29 turned out rather well with just a short time in the carburetor cleaner, a dip in Simple Green, and a hot water rinse.
I dried it well, sprayed with Remoil and put it back together. Gobs of compression but it feels cheap. That alloy piston does not look robust. I have three of these sparkers now and they are a strange lot.
They do have a nice sound.

That Rogers does have a nice muffled sound to it , Do you have a prop. nut spanner wrench for them ?? I have seen these engines before and dont understand the point system on them ? I see the adjusting arm but no points

The engine I just cleaned up does not have the points module located at the engines front. Check the video and you can see the coils wire to the right of the engine looking at it. Good explanation here:

The lever is just to advance/retard the spark, just like on your old model T Ford.

Thanks Bob , I remember that site (good one) just couldn't place it in my little mind but , i see now after a look inside . You didn't answer my ? DO YOU HAVE THE SPANNER WRENCH FOR THE PROP NUT ??? I have one if you don't and would like you to have it if needed .
