Pee Wee 020
Anyone want to part with a good running 020? I am interested in buying one or two for a fair price.
I need to power a couple of Ace Guppy Gliders!
Thanks in advance,
Scott

Thanks, I did look at that, but if you look closely at the engines, the one on the left has the prop screw rusted into the crank. These engines all show signs of being in water or lots of moisture. That concerned me to much to bid on them.

Dried old castor is what is on the prop screw. I have cleaned enough of these to know that is aged castor oil. More concerning is the backplate with the drilled out mounting holes and the other with the broken mounting ear.

It's castor. Those engines have not seen water.

Yep, only one good backplate out of three. $75 wouldn't be a bad price if they were in better condition.

Yea, I noticed the back plates also. I would pay $70-75 for two in good shape. On that big auction site if you do a search on the sold ones you will see some really nice ones go for bargain prices and some for pretty high dollar. It seems everyone I bid on is the same one everyone else wants.

Ebay is not the place to purchase what your seeking. The prices are grossly inflated. You should seek your request on other forums if you achieve no results on here. Keep in mind even the r/c forums are a good choice as many of the older flyers progressed into radio and the old stuff just collects dust on the shelf. Placing a want add on those forums would be a good choice .

If you have a hobbyshop near by ask them if they have seen any. My local hobbyshop gets lots of glow engines and glow related items brought in and just dropped off like yesterday's trash.

Thanks, I have looked at our local hobby shop (45 minutes away the only one left anymore) and all they have is foam planes that have a round can like object where the motor should go with wires coming out of it. They also have lots of drones so kids can go fly by the airport. They have balsa also, but it has lots of dust on it. I am starting to feel like a dinosaur!
I have been watching the other forums and will post an ad if I don't win my auction on that big site this weekend.

Re: Pee Wee 020
I am sorry to hear that. As much as my LHS sells the latest electric planes the owner is an old time glow guy. He even enjoyed his fair share of Cox engine powered planes. He saves all the old glow stuff he gets and makes the few of us that still use it some really sweet deals. I fear that I am one of the rare lucky ones, in this regard.
