neat lookin plane, kinda reminds me of a Spacewalker. if i was to build it, i'd be tempted to build it as a R/C.
Re: Yet Another "Wee Plane"
I have plans for the Wee One, I believe same designer. The Wee One is a flapped full body fuse for Pee Wee .020 or .010.

Re: Yet Another "Wee Plane"
The plans are full scale and show it with a TD .010 would have to enlarge the plans to
support a TD .020 or Pee Wee.
There is plenty of small RC gear out these days to go 3ch with throttle.
Comparison with the NANO .010

Re: Yet Another "Wee Plane"
Cool stuff! I bought some aero-modeling gear from a guy back in 1992.. who had built a beautiful scale model (I think it was a Fairchild PT-19) with a Tee Dee .010 masterfully cowled-in. At that time.. the smallest available radio gear was much too heavy to be practical for an installation. When showing me the model.. he said; "Someday they'll make radio-gear that will be small/light-weight enough to install. That's why I built it.. and I can wait until that time."
I bought my first aircraft radio-set from him.. but it was an old 4ch. Futaba AM set.. that was obsolete. He cautioned me about the likely possibility of signal-interference. I think I paid $25 for it.. but I was primarily interested in the four FP S33 micro-servos that were included. Very soon after; I ordered four adapter harnesses to convert the servo-connector plugs to the newer standard.
Fast-forward 20+ years.. and the nano-servos and LiFe Rx battery-packs.. have lightened the weight of a "full-house" radio-system by several ounces. Unfortunately; the tiny Cox .010 engine was well ahead of it's time for powering RC aircraft. Anyone lucky enough "now".. to have a Cox Tee Dee .010 engine, has lots of options for micro RC flight.. and probably a favorable power-to-weight ratio over an EP system. "Brad" (CEF member 1/2A nut) has demonstrated this!
Here's another drawing of the "Wee Bee" plan that I had saved about a year ago. It may have been an image that I saved from "here" on CEF.. but I can't say for sure. It's quite a cool little model.. you have to admit.
Fly this in your back-yard.. after a cook-out.. and maybe set-up a "balloon-burst" just for fun!

Re: Yet Another "Wee Plane"
It's worthy of a build for sure. Hope someone here knocks one out for the TE .010!

The balloon would probably win...

I can just picture it bouncing off. It's hard to picture how small the .010 is until you have held one in your hands.

Hmmm... I wonder what the reaction would be if I built one and entered it in Classic Stunt at the next Spring Tune-Up at Delta Park?

Kinda the reverse from me. When the Smallest Traveling Engine was first announce, I was in the hobby shop and saw that Spacewalker. I wondered how it'd fare with the TD .010 on it.

Re: Yet Another "Wee Plane"
Must have a spring starter for your .010 engine, hard to flip start but you can.
If you can't source one you can make one with piano wire its not that hard to do.
If you do have a spring then I have found through countless starts the best way to get the ball rolling
is to push air in through the fuel tanks vent line with a fuel bulb or syringe till you see fuel crawl up the
carb line. If you push too much it will fill the venturi must Flip start without the glow plug hot to
wet the cylinder you can now heat up the plug it will start like a champ on anything over 20% nitro.
I like 35% with 20% castor. By loading the engine from the fuel line forward into the carb there will be
fuel ready to draw in and no false start off just a prime. This method avoids flooding the engine.
Once you find the NV for that day no need to back off the NV for the next start. With a cold engine I tend
to back off the NV 3/4th turn from the last session of flying to ensure plenty of fuel for motivation.
I have one engine that has never had its ball socket reset no need if you have a light load (sleek low weight racer)
on the engine. If you have a draggy / heavy plane avoid using the grey prop as it weighs more and will loosen the
ball socket sooner. The grey can be modified to reduce load cuts and sands very well and can be polished.
This engine has over 120 flights I have never changed the glow plug either! Lastly you can pop off the glow
plug turn the prop over with your finger over the top of the cylinder at TDC you can feel if the
ball socket is loose when the cylinder touches your finger rock the prop back and forth you will feel the
amount of socket play if any. Avoid taking this wee little engine apart unless needed. Careful not to
over tighten the cylinder you can warp it do to the large exhaust ports and thin metal it can twist a
bit enough to damage the lil wonder.
Here is a vid of the particular engine after 100+ flights same glow plug.
