New Biplane and other Hobbies...
I moved my California hangar to Tucson over the last few weeks. The major load was done and this caravan took 20 models, an Austin Healey frame, Jamaican body, spares and stuff, and my new Knight Twister from Chino to Avra Valley followed by the green Jamaican and the MGB. Michael drove the van and I the 26 foot Penske.

Looks like quite an operation! I guess that one of the legacies of collecting too much "stuff". Most of us are guilty of it. I'm sure going to leave a mess for my family to clean up once I can't.

Hey Chris, Congrats on the move! I'm sure you're glad that's behind you now. I love the new airplane! Very slick!! Is that a Long-EZ I see behind it? The MGB is sweet! My Uncle has one (1965-B.. same color) that's been under a tarp in his garage for 40 years!

Chris, you sure do live right. Guns, cars, and airplanes, we and many others share the same adventures.

That Knight Twister has GOT to be the baddest, tiniest-winged biplane there is !!!

Nice toys
The top picture reminded me of this pic of our "convoy" from St. Louis to Atlanta back in 1999. The lead vehicle, a T-Bird driven by my wife is not in the picture. It was quite a drive to do in one day, but great scenery. We really should do a proper road trip in the USA someday.

Leave 'em trouble, Rod.
Roddie, this one sat for 20 then again for 8, coax him into getting it going, man. Old picture of the Knight Twister, I think SoCal or San Diego in the 80's so lots of EZ's.
Bob, don't you know it. Now that Michael flies and drives manual shift, he's gotta go to the range.
Probably, Getback, and Jim and I are acquainted and plan on trying to revive Scale and Carrier in the Southwest.
You got it, Tim. Mine is the largest winged Knight Twister single seater and it's only 81 sq ft, a Pitts S-1 is 96! I tried finding a 55 sq ft'er but this one came along and it's pretty well built so I'll go with it, a 180 with a constant speed ought to wake it up...
Nice Karl, did you export the MG to Finland? Looks like a black '71, good looking. Me too on the tour, my dad wouldn't let me tour the country in mine as a teen, thought I'd die in jail, been too busy to do it since.

And Kim,
This one was built to plan with all wood cantilever wings and tail, no wires. It's like a Formula 1 Biplane the way the wings are built.

Thanks, yes I did bring the B with me. Unfortunately there was a lot of things to fix in it and I ended up selling it with most of the structural bodywork done. There were still a lot of cosmetic work left and also just about all the oily bits needed attention too. I didn't have a garage, time nor enough money (or enthusiasm) to do it properly so I figured it was best to let it go. But I did like that car and hopefully some day I can get another one, this time NOT not a fixer-upper.
