Headed to Tucson...
For this:
http://www.ccmaconline.org/halfa-multiengine-profilescale.htm
Wish me luck, this beast has not been flown yet. Looks like tomorrow will be to windy to fly so it's first flight could be an official on Sunday.
The woefully ill prepared Jim.

Break a leg Jim, and have a ball!
The Bellanca should draw some attention, It certainly
has here.

Re: Headed to Tucson...
Very impressive Jim!! If the right engine stops last, can that have an influence on the yaw of the plane? Turning to the left?

My guess Eric, is that there's a bit of video trickery messin' with our eyes.getback wrote:NICE !! Yo Jim is that center engine LOOSE looked like it was wiggling at the end there ??? EricJPvelo wrote:
I'd pay to hear that plane in person. What a noise!
If it flew as well as it looks and sounds, you won the trifecta jim.
Hoping the best for you.

Re: Headed to Tucson...
Your most likely right Bob but it was the only one doing that , kind of strange . I know Jim does some really good builds and I am sure that wouldn't get past him . It was making some serious noise , I bet he turned some heads for sure . Eric

Re: Headed to Tucson...
Just letting everyone know, for some reason Jim is having trouble posting in this thread. Probably a bug in the software. I'm working on figuring out whats going on. I tried something, we'll have to wait and see if it works for him.
Looking forward to hearing about Tucson!

Re: Headed to Tucson...
Had a blast! Would have been satisfied just to come home with an airplane in one piece but ended up doing way better than I expected. Will do a flight report tomorrow but for now there's this:

Thanks for posting that thread Jim. All beautiful planes and well detailed. The fact that they're profile fuselages does not harm at all.

I had a look at the Stunthanger report and I gotta say, (no offense to Jim and the Bellanca), I just love the DH-88 Comet and the Mosquito. Two of my all-time favorites.

I can only dream of actually building and flying models of that caliber. Well beyond my skills of imagination and patience. Beautiful models all, I would not like to be the ones that did the judging.
I wonder if the drone Me109's engine was running during his flight. All flights nicely done.

All three engines ran the entire flight. That model was absolutely amazing.
