Just a little Fun-Fly in Dexter, Missouri
Dropped in to visit with some friends down at the Dexter Barnstormers Club last Saturday, and thought I'd post a few photos. They've got a nice spot out on the edge of the airport in Dexter, Missouri...flying from a closed runway!
The all-important conference !
An electric T-28 comes to some grief while trying to Limbo !
These folks are hard-core ! Most Limbo streamers I've seen are crepe paper...these folks use plastic surveyors tape!
Their cool Club-Pavilion with the pranged T-28 in the background...important to note that's it's bent landing gear didn't come from the Limbo attempt, but from an abrupt arrival in a later flight!
The requisite high-powered biplane doing flip-flops:
The near-vertical fat-tire Cub takeoff:
the plastic paratrooper dropper:
and finally, the crazy-over-powered-bent-tailed 'Whats It' :

Yeah, some great flyers, and it was kind of nice not having to tend to anything other than a camera!

I spent a night in jail in Dexter; the police were very cordial.
