Ive had a cox engine for at least 4 years (not very long) but i never bought the fuel for them in the amount of time.
Finally today my COX SUPERFUEL came in the mail
So, I was dying to try and run an engine so I used my 1/2 black widow (i call it that because i need a new backplate, im running a regular babe bee backplate as of now), because it had a built in gas tank
And once I figured out the needle valve position it started right up!-I Just Have To Say This Site Rocks! and I Love This Forum!  Babe Bee .049
I HAVE TO WEAR EAR PROTECTION NEXT TIME  lol!

Trevor.
What size is your prop? The engine sounds like it's working a little hard like the prop is too big. It won't hurt it, but it will run a lot sweeter and faster with a smaller prop. Yes, you should wear hearing protection. Nice run anyway.

Well that's about right. Just that it sounded to be labouring the engine a little.

So yesterday I ran my medallion, but I used wooden screws on a 2x4 in the vid, so I figured I would go easy
So I pored something like 5ml to be safe and ran it
It was running smoothly then two of the darn screws came of from the left side
Then I stood to the side, lucky the fuel ran out before it flew off. Everything is fine no damaged engines
So I'm not sure if I could find a stand for it that's compact (as in it won't loosen) for under 15$
Does anyone know were I might be able to find one?

Hi Trevor, I'm assuming you ran the "1/2" Black Widow" with a stock Babe Bee back-end (tank/back-plate). I believe that all Black Widows had a larger air-intake/venturi than the Babe Bee, because of the higher-performance cylinder-porting. Compare the venturis side by side.. (tanks disassembled..) and you'll see what I mean. No harm in running the engine the way you did.. but you'll see a marked gain in performance if you run a tank/back-plate that's designed for the Black Widow. When adjusting your needle, do it in small increments (1/4 turn at a time) and wait a second or two to see if there's a change in the way the engine runs. Usually an optimal needle setting will be achieved within 1/4-1/2 a turn of the needle.. once it's firing on every stroke.

These are two of my Golden Bee back-ends as an example. The parts on the right show a larger venturi. I believe that this was a "later" version which was succeeded by the Black Widow.
