Rusty, what became of SuperDave?
From your post in the redneck .049 starter thread you indicated that you couldn't pick on SD anymore. From his last post I assume he has joined another forum and has taken on the role of the parrot in Monty Pythons famous sketch?

Re: Rusty, what became of SuperDave?
As hard as it was to interpret anything he said, I can't say for sure. But he was in poor health, in his 80s, and he used to post a "permanent" goodby on a predictable basis, but couldn't stay away for more than a couple of weeks. He was pretty blind, but could still type and couldn't resist coming here to affirm his vast knowledge and authority. I believe it's entirely possible that he died. I hope not, but I kind of think that's the case.
Best wishes wherever you are, Dave.

Re: Rusty, what became of SuperDave?
Last I/we knew.. he was finishing a Dumas planked-hull speedboat. SuperDave is a long-time CEF member (since Aug. of 2011) I hope he's still with us.
This wasn't his last post.. but one that gives me some hope.

Re: Rusty, what became of SuperDave?
Just last night I was getting to wonder where he was. Hopefully he's alright. Does anyone have any of his contact info? I have the email address he registered with.
Re: Rusty, what became of SuperDave?
Dave hinted that he was planning on doing some travelling. I doubt he has passed away. His last post was that he had better things to do than mess with the forum and was moving on.
I doubt he wants to be contacted although he still maintains an account here.
He knows where we are.

Yeah, you're right, I forgot about that https://www.coxengineforum.com/t7170-signing-off-and-out#90179
Some people just get wore out with hobbies or the interest comes and goes.
Re: Rusty, what became of SuperDave?
Oh, I guess I got a greenie for passing bad information. Somehow I had the impression that he was buying the Farm. He'll probably check in this week to find that news of his death has been greatly exaggerated.
Sorry, ol' boy.

Re: Rusty, what became of SuperDave?
Can't speak for the sender of your greenie, but I nearly clicked one for your final comment in wishing SD well. As I'd told Ron one time, I had the haunting suspicion that Dave was actually my older brother A.J., typing under an assumed identity! A lot of his posts...word usage and sentence structure...AND grouchy mood swings...aggravating as they could be, would still make me smile, as I thought of my much-traveled older sibling.
Figure that I'm running on the same DNA as A.J., so there may come a day when I'll be trying my friends' patience with a "Now just sit back and let me tell you how it REALLY is..." lecture or two.
Hope everything is well with you ole S.D. ....
