Cox Yellow Safety Tip Propellers
Hi again. Just wondering if anyone here has used the Cox yellow safety tip propellers, and how they were. I had busted up all but 1 propeller and was thinking of trying one of these out. Plane will be trainer type control line, for fun, no competition or speed. Thank you.

Re: Cox Yellow Safety Tip Propellers
I love these props. They are my "Go-To" prop. They may not be the most efficient prop you can use, but I sure as hell can see the prop arc when they're turning. No chance of (well, less chance of) sticking my finger in the prop while it's spinning. I have a bunch, and I may just order another couple-three more on my next order with Bernie so that I never run out.
Here is one running on a Testors .049. I have three or four vids of them running on a Cox .049. but this vid is the quickest one for me to grab. You can see how visible the prop arc is on these puppies.

And a couple more videos of the yellow props. The first is tuning the two Bee engines before the maiden flight of my BTC-4, and the second is the actual video of the maiden. Notice that the last half minute of the maiden flight is on only one engine, and it's the outboard engine.

Nifty, centrifugal force, tip weight, or offset kept it on the lines? Maybe all three?

Tee off of a central bladder and they'll always cut off together. That really is pretty cool, I remember watching the day you first posted the link. Yeah, those props are fine. I think I have a few.

Yeah, they do look kind of neat.
Here's another shot of one.

Sadly they flex enough that power is sapped.
I run them regularly on my bashers that other people may fly.

I'm calling it offset. I didn't put any tip weight on the outboard wing, as I figured the mass of the nacelle and engine so far out from the bellcrank would be fine. On the inboard wing I put no engine offset, and on the outboard wing I put about double the normal offset I'd put in a single engine plane.
I need to fly that plane some more.

One thing I especially like is how, with that thick, rounded tip, it makes a darker yellow line at the edge of the prop disc. Nice sharp delineation.
