Yeah, ethanol would work great for cleaning the engine parts. If you are having issues uploading pictures, this may help! http://coxengineforum.forumakers.com/t367-how-to-post-an-image-in-a-topic

Good night Super Dave! That stuff is poison! I still remember my hangover after a night of that stuff. Not to mention the idiotic things I did and that was almost 20 yrs ago. Of course moderation is key........

Ron:
Did I say that I drank Everclear "straight"?
The most frightful hangover I ever had in my youth was on "Southern Comfort" which did in Janis Joplin BTW. No great loss though.

No, you sure didn't, pretty potent stuff in any form though. I do like a few Joplin tunes although at times her voice tends to make my skin crawl. Like most late 60's music the sound is great and it really pumps me up, just not so keen on the free love hippie scene.
Then there is "The Who" a class of thier own and to me the best Rock R&B band that ever existed. While they too experienced their heyday in the 60's and 70's I wouldn't classify them as hippies even though the did play woodstock. Pete Townshend has bad mouthed the event many times and he even gave Abby Hoffman a few choice words when he stole Pete's stage and smacked him with his guitar. Priceless......

Re: everclear 190 and cox pee wee .020.
its funny how a dissusion of alcohol always leads to a discussion of music.
i cant drink, anyways. doctors oders. i spent 10 years on a medication that was assimilated by my body as an alcohol. so my liver is not what it should be. not to mention the boder line diabetis from a second medication.
The wonders of modern medicine!

Isn't it also funny how the consumption of alcohol also leads to it?
Re: everclear 190 and cox pee wee .020.
Sixties genre "music" drove me to country/western and I'm still there. To me C/W is pure Americana from the heart of America funny, sad, sentimental all basic "down home" stuff.
Now as to Gracie Slick & Jefferson Starship, YEACH and double YEACH.
I do today what I did they to get "HIGH", I go flying my model aircraft which is less expensive than booze, drugs and "social diseases".

Re: everclear 190 and cox pee wee .020.
have you heard the new one,'cobra starship'? no joke. i like every kind of music, country, bluegrass, rock, oldies, metal, some rap, the old r&b, a little techno, the classics, bach, beetoven. love the movie soundtracks, like john williams, or steve jablonisky, or whta ever his name is.
but out of all of them, country is the most 'pure' music. its about the feelings, and less so the music.

Re: everclear 190 and cox pee wee .020.
I too can say I like all types of music and as a music lover I think if anyone can say that try can't abide a whole genre then they are not a music fanatic. I only say this because in the past I had dismissed several genres as "[bleep]" but then found great songs that technically belong I that genre. I am sure you guys know what I am talking about.
Re: everclear 190 and cox pee wee .020.
The Who is the greatest band there ever was. My favorite parts of their music are from Roger Daltry and Kieth Moon. Not to minimize Entwistle and Townshend, It wouldn't come close without both of them, I just love the sounds those two make. Daltry's scream in Won't get fooled again. His smooth pleading blues lyrics in Behind blue eyes, suddenly rising with the raw anger of Moon's insane riffs; If I swallow anything evil, put your finger down my throat! Moon just playing whatever the **** he felt like whenever the **** he felt like it and somehow it falls perfectly in place and adds to the massive power of The Who in a perfect way. Long live The Who. Long live the Who. Did I say that twice...

Re: everclear 190 and cox pee wee .020.
Moon was m favourite and had some odd habbits including blowing up toilets
He was banned from several hotel chains because of that including Hilton
He blew up over 300000 pounds worth of toilets! Crashed through the roof of Charlton athletics changing room!
Good memories he and the who we're a great English band.
A pitty that as did so many great musicians he died too young (32).
He died of an over dose on a medicine to help with his alcohol problem he took 32 tablets and the 6 that actually made it into his blood stream were enough to kill him.

Re: everclear 190 and cox pee wee .020.
I don't think being an eccentric makes a musican or group great; it's the MUSIC and the variety of the music they perform.
"Eagles" are a perfect example with an eclectic mix of talented voices and instrumentalists.
Everyone has heard: "Hotel California" and "Life in the Fast Lane" but how about "Seven Bridges Road" (great harmony) or "The Last Resort" (a protest song about the rape of the environment). BTW, you can actually understand the lyrics of "Eagles" songs.
Sure Don Henly has had some problems but he has worked his way out of them rather than be consumed by them

I have too many of these things... I have a bunch of lps, 45s, CDs, cassettes and 8-Tracks. I'm not much for the new music today, besides, anything new can be heard for free online. If I want any new music bad enough, I'll go find the lp of it (yes, they are still pressing them).

Agreed Rusty,
Good to know there is another "The Who" afficianado on this forum. What are the chances 2 guys who enjoy the same music also get a kick out of Cox engines?
"Ladies and Gentleman! A nice rock and roll band from Shepherds Bush London "the ooo" followed by a crash intro to heaven and hell.
To get a true appreciation of "the Ox" listen closely to "dreaming from the waist on down"
