Was running a engine yesterday with a mecoa long plug conversion and performance (rpms) seemed to suffer. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks, Jim.

Welcome in Jim.

Yes, you will gain to much combustion chamber with that setup.

A better adjustable set up is the Doug Galbreath Head with a Nelson plug.

You will also lose a lot of compression.
It is best to use an insert style plug.
