Does anyone know this cox car?
Hello everybody,
a few days ago I found in an old photo album from my father these 2 pics :
Does someone knows this car? Looks for me as there is a TeeDee installed. The photos are from the 1974th.
The car was not from my father so he doesn't know anything about it. Do you have any ideas?

does anyone no this cox car
It looks like a stripped down cox body on what appears to be a home made chassis with airplane wheels. I think its a one off creation someone dabbling with rc back in the 70s.looks like they did a decent job on it!yes I agree on the cox engine. What it drove like I:-)guess will never no!

Re: Does anyone know this cox car?
In the early-mid seventies R/C cars saw a dramatic increase popularity and "DIY" cars were fairly common. Most were built with off the self parts, along with homemade components.
In Jr. High i bought a used 1/8 scale car with a (commonly used) plastic '65 Revell Corvette body, McCoy .19, fiberboard (mason board) chassis with aluminum cast Wheels from a company called RaCar. The radio was a Jarobee brick, used my little brother's bike to start it.
This is that same plastic body from a model kit.

Heres a couple R/C cars I've was lucky to come across from that golden age of 1/8 scale gas road cars...
RaCar made in the early seventies West(?) Hollywood, Ca.
McCoy .19 McCoy and K&B were popular engines
Dynamax Mclaren

Vintage Gas powered R/C Cars
Its Absolutely amazing looking back in to the 1970's and that Era of R/c Cars. The photo of the Chassis looks like is was Homemade on a very skilled and professional Basis. The wheels and tires almost look like large model Airplane Wheels. Its just a matter of time and Design to build Your own Car. I have several Friends that have their own Machining Equipment on their properties and build and design Chassis' and other Car related items.
