Tower Hobbies Sweepstakes

Truthfully, I don't do too much shopping at tower.

A lot of their stuff is 5 years out of date compared to other manufactures. And the basic hardware stuff I can get shipped from my LHS and have it the next day, not the next week or two.

That sucks, not much time to claim if you ask me.

Our hobby is very out of date so 5yrs is still new to us!

Well, that's a rip! Oughta give a guy at least a week or so! The only reason to do this in the first place is to inspire more orders...THIS deal would tend to tick a guy off...

Well.. through the years.. I've had really good experiences with Tower. Their customer service has been excellent in the few times I've had issues. More than once, they sent the wrong item (... once being a fairly expensive 1300 mAh NiCd sub-C receiver pack) When I contacted them about it, they apologized and told me to keep it.. and promptly sent the correct item. Their "Tower-Branded" products I believe are mostly Hobbico, Top Flite and Futaba items.. re-badged with the Tower name. The Tower and Hobbico power-panels are identical.. and I'll bet that "Tower-Kote" is actually "Mono-kote". A large distributor like Tower can make these kinds of deals with the manufacturer, buy the products in bulk.. and pass the savings on to their customers.. and everybody benefits from it.

Here's the letter I replied with..

Hi Peggy, My name is Roger Jordan (Tower Cust.# **********) I unfortunately hadn't read my email since 9/29. I skimmed over the sweepstake rules.. and noticed that I was probably the "last" chosen winner.. as per the contests' end-date. I was required to respond by last Thurs. 10/2... Am I out of luck?

Here's my contact info.. if there's the possibility that I can still claim my prize.

I understand completely if responding late disqualifies me.
