I won it, now what is it?
Looks like a product engine, has a throttle sleeve and a baffle of sorts. Anyone know what it's out of?

Re: I won it, now what is it?
It's a "postage stamp" engine. They came in cox RTF models. Throttle ring may not be part of it.
Re: I won it, now what is it?
Looks more just like a misc parts lot.

Re: I won it, now what is it?
I think it may be a dissmantled product engine but cannot be sure as it may just be a misc parts lot.
Re: I won it, now what is it?
Looks like a (nearly) complete product engine... But I think there's one backplate screw missing, and if the reed isn't transparent plastic, it's missing too

Thanks, it does look like the 190-6. The picture wasn't that great but, hey it was 10 bucks so whatever. As mentioned above looks to be missing a screw and maybe the reed. Thanks all. I was mostly interested in the throttle sleeve anyway.

But Ron's kit will be, shall we say, "more challenging" than LeRoy's.

It'll run. I bet you can have it going in a couple of hours after a good soak.

COX dragonfly without fuel tank?
Didnt the dragonfly (I think that was cox`s name for it) come with a red or black plastic tank that bolted or screwed into a reed block kind of like the postage stamp reed block?
Maybe its just dis-assembled without the tank?

George,
I think it refers to the size of the backplate, pardon me if you already knew that.

I'm not sure if there are different versions of that size, but yes, that is it.

I have a few of those old red postage stamp backplates from my plastic model days. They are worthless to me, the venturis are small. If anyone here wants them let me know. They all have 40 year old dirt on them.

The thing I don't like is, that there is no way to mount them!
Re: I won it, now what is it?
nitroairplane wrote:Well could there be no way to drill mounting holes for them?
Carl Goldberg used to market a baloon bladder tank set-up complete with
a retro-fit mount for the postage stamp backplate.
Those old backplates also feature a 128tpi needle valve assembly.

Well cool Bob! I have that mount in my toolbox and I had no idea what it was for. Now I do Thanks!
