I'll "second" that! I'm sadly lacking space for building models (or anything..) but now that I'm back working; one of the first orders of business is to extend an existing outdoor shed big enough for a workshop with a storage loft and electricity.

How many at the moment? Well...
1) I have the '67 Ferdinand to go (I finished the '59 last night)
2) Brunhilde to finish.
3) The November Reed Speed entry ready to hang an engine on and rig up.
4) A TD-4 look-alike started.
5) The 70's Super Stunter parts I just got yesterday.
6) Sig Skyray I just started with the son.
7) SkyStreak ARF that I stuffed and broke the nose off that needs repair. I'm assembling the parts to convert to electric.
8 ) Wife's friend's husband's Goldberg Shoestring to strip and rebuild.
9) Collecting parts for a Cox Warhawk to complete.
In the queue:
1) Templates cut out for a Beginner Ringmaster Bipe.
2) Plans printed out for a WeeBeastie.
3) Cox Action Van to restify to R/C
4) A beam mount Baby Ringmaster
5) Whatever catches my fancy before I get all of the above finished.

Re: Older Brothers
Well, the eldest brother got a set of windows and all his running gear last night. Now he's in the queue for a test flight.

I may be out of line here, but I would have placed the forward lead-out back a little. It looks almost parallel with the leading edge and may cause some line-tension issues.

That's quite alright Rod. One reason I post pics is for you guys to catch me out when I make a mistake. It looks a little forward in the picture, but it's far enough back from the c.g. to keep line tension. Doing a hang test shows a few degrees down on the nose. And it's got a couple of degrees right thrust on the engine, also. I could be surprised on the maiden, but it should be okay.

Re: Older Brothers
Well, I couldn’t find any acetate, so I improvised. I got the thinnest document laminating film I could find and used that. We’ll see how well it lasts, but for now it seems okay. But, this just reinforces just how lousy I am with gluing windows on models. Only thing left is to make up the lines and it’s done.

Re: Older Brothers
A couple more maiden flights at the Independence Day fly-in at Delta Park. These fly okay. But I think I want to use thinner lines on them. Both planes flew well at minimum control throws, and had enough power to do a comfortable loop. Now that the maidens are over and I know they fly, I’ll increase the throws a little. Here’re the videos of the first flights:
The '67 version is a little fragile, as I was afraid of when building it. The strut attachment to the bottom of the top wing is minimal, and broke loose. Also, the sides of the nose are unsupported and weak. I may put some bottom sheeting in the nose area.

Re: Older Brothers
Wow, you're just full of surprises today. It's great seeing your planes in action. You got some pretty good runs out of these planes.
