The best modeling supplier on eBay is OmniModels
It took me a while to realize it, but I found most times I searched for a piece or part, OmniModels showed up in the results with one of the best prices. Every time I buy from them, it arrives in three days and only cost $1.99 for shipping. This Saturday, I tried a propeller that gave my plane the most authority in corners, and overheads in the wind, and finally a comfortable lap time. And of course I broke it in the grass on a bumpy landing.
I ordered some new ones on Sunday and sent Omni a message that I look forward their usual prompt shipping, as I was leaving town Friday for a contest. Monday morning I received an e-mail from Beth at Omni, thanking me and saying it had already been shipped and wishing me luck next weekend.
Tracking says they'll be here on or before Thursday. I also wrote that I would spread their name among my fellow modelers, so here you go. Dependable, fast and friendly, OmniModels.

It's so important to have customer service people who make it happen. It can make or break a supplier.
Re: The best modeling supplier on eBay is OmniModels
Whenever I find someone or some company that obviously understands where their paycheck comes from, I make sure I send business their way. Bernie and Matt are great examples. Though I don't buy many Cox bits lately, I still make sure to direct people their way. I just hope I'm not helping to squeeze Brodak and Sig out of business. They might be surviving on shipping charges. Is Omni the WalMart of the web??? I hope not. But, free enterprise, ya know.

Re: The best modeling supplier on eBay is OmniModels
I looked at the site but was a little disappointed.
I thought - Wow! Look at the range and they deal internationally! -Wow! Only $84.99 - That would cost £79.99 ($120) in the UK .
Then I saw the postage !!!!????

Re: The best modeling supplier on eBay is OmniModels
Omni-models has been around for a long in one incarnation or another. It was originally started as a private enterprise, but was eventually bought out in 1992 and partnered with Tower Hobbies. If you bring both sites up on your browser, I think you'll see that they mirror each other with pricing, stockouts and limited quantities.
Under the original ownership, their pricing and service were well above par for the industry. I do find the Omni site easier to navigate than Tower's, recognize that stock is the same for each company. I think that the Omni branch has placed more emphasis on the auction sites. Realistically, they are essentially the same and both are part of the Hobbico complex.

Ah, so they are an internet Big Box. I've been irritated with Tower ever since they started selling Cox fuel that will destroy Cox engines. Oh well, they're nice to go to in a pinch when you need it fast and cheap.
