Cox Engine of The Month

insomnia...
Every month or so, my wife and I get a craving for Chinese food... (I should know better by now..) and I can definitely trace it to restless sleep. Last night we made a date to go out locally for dinner.. then come home and watch a DVD rental. We later agreed that Chinese take-out was what we really wanted.. from our favorite place of course! LARGE orders of House Special Fried Rice, Crab Rangoon, Chicken Chop Suey and Sweet and Sour Chicken. I had 2 BIG helpings... one tall Bud Light...and topped it off with a LARGE mug of "Blue Bunny" Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream. Our cat(s) frequently sleep with us.. which didn't help matters.. but now I find myself downstairs in my workshop, stir-crazy... hoping that some of my CEF buddy's might be online... but nope... "Registered Users"; Roddie.............................
BTW, The movie was really great.. "The Way Way Back" which I would highly recommend, if you haven't seen it already.

Good movie. It's fun to see Steve Carrel do such a great job of playing a jerk.

The one next to it called "View posts since last visit" is the one my speed dial page points to so it's the first page I see when I log in. Then I don't have to click around to find the new latest posts.
To get back to it after posting, click and hold your back arrow and select "Advanced Search" and you don'r have to click a bunch of times to get back. Other things will also be named advanced search(like the unanswered posts), so depending on your activity there may be more than one advanced in the stack. You'll figure it out. Advanced forum nav 101.

Re: insomnia...
I should play with more of the forum buttons.. (and a lot of other buttons in general) I'm not real pro-active when it comes to options. I find what works.. and that's usually fine for me. I've never checked out the "chat-box".. but I'm always curious when I see a "chat-box check-in" post. It's probably better-off.. Chatting with me is liable to make someone want to ingest some glow-fuel.. or jump off a bridge afterward. "OK Roddie".. "talk to ya' later".. uh... "I gotta' go and have a tooth extracted"... "bye bye now.." click...
Re: insomnia...
I don't care for chatting, too much pressure to type fast. And when you don't in a busy chatroom, the conversations get so disjointed with everyone else's interjections they become indecipherable. I sit at the computer when I want to relax; type, re-think, re-type, preview, etc., send.

Yeah...me too...though I still try sometimes. MY problem is this OCD or whatever compulsion to go back and re-edit misspellings or mistakes in sentence structure ! My high school English teacher, Mrs. Pratt, might be proud that her pounding of rules into my brain STILL has an effect, but it sure can get me left behind on the computer!
