I got a direct email from Wilf ( wupton76@aol.com ) trying to send me to an unknown PHP page. The distribution list contains some other modelers and the only link I can find/confirm between Wilf and myself is the Cox forum so I fear he has been hacked. I don't know if he will see my reply to his email if the account is compromised so am posting here, and also to let others know: DO NOT click on the link in his email. Everyone probably already knows that, but if I can save just one person the headache...

Please go on about your business of building, rebuilding, polishing, cleaning, buying, selling, trading, flying, fueling, tuning, starting, stopping, flipping, displaying and/or fondling your Cox products...

Yeah,

I have been getting emails from him as well. I haven't opened them as the subjects are off. Not that I mind getting emails from him.

This has happened to me as well... (not forum related) I never open a suspicious web-link... People that I know personally... will almost always open with something personal... like addressing me by my proper name... and NOT "Hey There" ... or "Check this out"... which are HUGE indicators that you're being scammed.

Sorry to everyone who got an email link purporting to have come from me.

This was NOT sent by me, as you have correctly surmised my address book was hijacked AGAIN (about the 4th time this has happened)

Having run a complete anti-virus/anti-malware scan of my computer I am fairly sure that the beast has now been eradicated!

If I really send a link to anyone I ALWAYS explain what it is, if that is not the case, DO NOT open the link, it aint from me!
