Re: Ice Storms
Got a good spanking today, at least
a foot on top of the last one.
The lab closed at 11:00am.
10min trip home took an hour, but I'm
glad to be here.

Hey Ron, The storm's pretty much over now. Lynne is home safe, from working a full day.. I went outside around 2:00 to shovel the stairs and snow-blow the driveway. It took about 2 hours to get it all cleaned up for when she came home. I'm an excellent Husband..
Are you back home from your air travels? I Hope so.
Roddie
Re: Ice Storms
I received 13" and 5 more is on the way this evening. I have to say , it's getting old real quick. We had 3-4 this past Sunday and the week prior we had 2". Today though was powder but it was followed by freezing rain making it the heavy stuff. I was out at 5 am clearing snow. While I should've been working on models, I found myself digging out several neighbors. Ken

Good to hear Roddie!
Still here at Hill AFB, I have about a weeks worth of work to do. The weather is not bad though. 40's and raining today. Back home it's in the 60's

Well, the good thing is the inability to be able to work on the things you enjoy will only make it that much better when you finally can. Besides being neighborly has it's rewards too.
I am no stranger to lake effect snow. Growing up in Ontario was a real bear. I spoke with my Dad a couple nights ago and he said the snow is 8' high on either side of the driveway in Kitchener Ontario.

Re: Ice Storms
You guys have the snow big time this year............It's hot beach weather here of course.
I've spent some months a couple of times in NC in the '90s in summer time and hard to believe the extremes of weather........remember it being 100 in the shade in August.
Saw you CBS news here this morning and snow all over even way down south.

Not planning on building Bob, but I am bored already. Packing balsa in a suitcase can be tricky.

Yes... and there's always the danger of leaving a built-up wing in the closet of a hotel room...

Hey Fred, thanks. It's just arriving this afternoon, 70 and blue sky so far. And supposed to be 80 by Thursday, so I penned in a flying excursion.
Just what the doc ordered... Doctor Fred.

Here's a current update from N. Smithfield, RI... It started snowing around 11:00 a.m. and now we've got an additional 4" on top of about 18" from the last 2 recent storms.
