Threat to privacy!!!!

Threat to privacy!!!!
So I'm at the park today flying the Skyray and the Yaking Clown, and a reporter from Cronkite News Agency approaches me. He ask "are you aware the FAA has recently classified some small remote control airplanes as drones?". I politely explained what I was doing isn't what the FAA was referring to.This did not detract him from asking if he could ask me some questions and film me setting up and flying. I politely declined. Maybe making a baby clown look like a soviet aircraft was a mistake? Maybe a Rusty should rethink his yak paint scheme?

I recorded (with the band) recently.. at a studio that was completely enclosed inside a "Faraday cage". It was designed as such; to keep external stray RF noise out of the studio. I wonder if it would also prevent external electronic eavesdropping? I can't remember whether our mobile phones worked in the studio or not.

Re: Threat to privacy!!!!
I've been suckered into local news interviews twice. I should have learned the first time. In the first one, years ago, they cut and pasted my comments about the Bush#1/Clinton election so that my statements were strung together in a way that made me say what they wanted me to say. And in a recent interview on my front steps, the camera panned around and focused on every single drip of paint that had found the bricks near the trim boards, and showed the only patch of weeds in my whole lawn. And the story wasn't even about redneck white trash, it was about county funding for drainage and sewer upgrades. Never again.

The FAA opinion that some model airplanes are considered drones. A control line plane with a screaming cox would be about as poor a drone as I can imagine.

Re: Threat to privacy!!!!
The last TV interview I did I called the situation correctly (a couple juvenile delinquents, a couple cans of spray paint, and too much time on their hands) while the news wanted to do a "gang activity and nazism" in a working class neighborhood.
You can guess what the spray painted symbols were.
I didn't even make the cut I was too correct to the reality.

I see,
Not sure if I would have entertained an interview either. I am not the best with words. You should have let him film you just so you could have posted a video here!
Or better yet you should have filmed him attempting to fly

Hey! I resent that. Any time my friends want something fixed, they call me --- seems that I'm the only redneck white trash they know when something breaks.

And a rusted washing machine, an upside down rusty tricycle, a broken Bigwheel, a flat basketball and a commode planter in the yard. And white painted half tires lining the walk. And a diesel crankshaft mailbox post. And a dead cat. And an 8' confederate flag. And a '71 Pontiac Catalina with primer gray fenders.

Sounds like redneck paradise. Or, if you replace the Catalina with a broken down motor home for sleeping in, then it is one of my neighbors.

I don't have a dead cat (the 4 dogs ate it!!) or a flag. And it's a '72 Nova, BTW.
