If your using a PC... and are pre-occupied (like I am...) try writing your "lengthy" posts/replies in an MS word document FIRST... then copy/paste them into your post... and delete the MS word file AFTER it's safely posted where it's supposed to go.

Re: Don't lose your "long winded" posts/messages...
This is a good idea. I sometimes type up long replies in "Text Edit" on my MacBook. There has been many times that I'll type something up, open a new tab in my browser and go off on a tangent only to close the browser window hours later without hitting send. Unless your internet connection or browser times out, the forum itself shouldn't time out. I have written a reply early in the morning, forgot to hit "send" and discover it at 11PM in another window, I hit "send" and it did go through.

It just happened to me with a "PM".... with photos attached.... frustrating!!! Maybe I should have my secretary take care of all my correspondence!!
Re: Don't lose your "long winded" posts/messages...
Windows Notepad is the most used icon on my task bar for that reason. I update and save it as I go, so I don't lose my formatting unless I have to resort to cutting and pasting the message from it. It's also good for multi-quoting in forums that don't support it.
