049 Conntroline Speed Postal Competition.
Hi Guys, I have thanks to this forum, re-established my love of Cox engines. Thanks to an article written by Paul Gibeault on the Cox international website I like the idea of trying to build a racing engine. Consequently I'm looking for the plan of a 1/2A speed model to build. Then it struck me. If there's enough interest why dont we run a Postal 1/2A speed league. We could have say 6 rounds in the year. Post the league positions after each round. The winner of league at the end of the year wins a perpetual trophy. Obviously I know nothing about speed racing, but there must be a set of rules we could adapt. Obviosley it would be limited to a Cox 049, Limited model span and weight, and maybe simple construction so as to be as inclusive as posible. All ideas would be welcome. Have a great Thanksgivng all my U.S. friends

We actually have a speed competition where you design your own plane going right now. Here's a link to the rules:

And the link to technical/design discussion for the contest:

I hope you decide to compete!

Thanks Jim, that sounds even better than I envisaged, I like the profile scale element. I'm not sure how I missed the post. Yes I will be getting envolved. This sounds like an excuse to use my Terminator. I promised myself I'd only display it, but I've already bench run it in.
Cheers Mike
