... and saw this. Kinda cheesy, but at least C/L was mainstream enough to get its own episode:

Re: Was cruising TouTube...
I have been trying to watch this episode for a while now! Thank you for the link. I watched it in it's entirety, cool stuff, too bad hobby shops don't look like that anymore. I thought it funny as the judges were calling out the stunts the pilots were still only flying circles.
Anyway, I wouldn't say it was cheesy, it's what America was back then before it became polluted with reality television. Good stuff and thanks again.

Hey, thanks Mark.
I used to watch that show.
I like the kid buying the fuel.
"How much?"
"Oh..., 8 cents."
The Feeling Old Bob.

I'm glad to see that's back on the Tube. It had been removed for a while.

I know where one is for sale, wants $50 for it, if it's still there.

Wen Mac really got around! This Cessna 150 made another appearance...on "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" The 'Night Caller' episode.
The bad guy, who turns out to be good, of course, cranks up the plane in a one-take scene, with it starting on the first try...though he DOES wind that spring starter awful far!
Starts at about 07:30
