The NW Regional Contest!
The NW Regional Contest is May 24-26th and the DOCTOR SAID I CAN FLY! She gave me the green light Tuesday to fly, just have to start the planes from a standing position. I don't think I'll have the new P-51 ready. But After looking at last years Corsiar and a little sugery she will be ready in time. I found a problem with the throttle bellcrank and the down lead out catching. Just need to patch the planking and cover/paint. I can't wait.

Duke:
And further I DO hope you understand that your BACK and it's recovery come first above all.
The biggest problem with aging is that we don't recover from surgeries as readilly as when when we young.

Re: The NW Regional Contest!
Kim-I plan on having my oldest son bringing his camera and a laptop. Then I can keep up with emails and this forum, of course.
Dave-I asked the Doc and she say no worries with the back, I just can't lift the field box or bend to start planes. I can start standing up and the boys will carry things.

Re: The NW Regional Contest!
That's strange that it would require you to download anything.
I am having some trouble deciding wether or not to do the Shoestring or Cosmic Wind next. I heard that the Cosmic Wind flies tricky due to the low wing design. Is that the case?
I am sure envious of your trip. Love to be there myself.
Edit: Hope you are feeling better.

Someone with my lack of skills would never know. This trip is great. It's our first trip to Regionals.

Duke,
Very nice pictures and what an action shot!! very beautiful BF109. To my knowledge, such events are inexisting over here. We have 1 club south of Paris and 1 in the east, I believe. Otherwise we're just singles spread over the country. Enjoy your weekend and I'm looking forward to more pics.

Day #2 stories and pictures!
Today was a wonderful day. Sunny and light wind. We finally had a chance to meet a guy I been waiting to meet for some time now. He walked up to us this morning and asked if my boys could race with him today. He said he would supply all the equipment and a lesson. We seem to meet the nicest people from around the world flying control line. And now some pictures to help the story along. You know a picture is worth a thousand words.
The boys get ready a fly Cox Mouse Racers for the first time.
They are racing now, Daniel/Pilot and Nathan/Pitman
The 1st and 2nd place teams. Yes that's our own Paul Gileault! My boys were asked by Paul to race his planes and he would teach them how and supply everything. What a guy!
You see what I see? They beat Paul, even after he was so kind to them. These kids have no respect these days.
All joking aside Paul you are a Great man, thanks again. We will be back next year with our own planes. You have the boys hooked in a bad way.
