Posted to Overlord this morning, I'm sorry for the delay in getting it sent off, I've had some health issues which prevented me from doing very much of anything for a while!
I look forward to more reports of the Travelling Prop's adventures!
Wilf
Oh! I hope you are alright. Good to see the prop moving again. Take care.
Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
Just came back from a week's Holiday. I found the Travelling Propeller at my home well packed, safe and sound.

TP News
6th June 1944
17th August 2013
The bridge over the Caen - Ouistreham canal at Bénouville was liberated at 00.20 am on the 6th of June '44 by the 6th Airlanding Brigade and 2nd Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry that landed with Horsa gliders at approx 50m from the bridge. The 6th division had a Pegasus as shoulder emblem, hence the present name: Pegasus Bridge. The bridge has been replaced since then, but the original can be seen in the nearby museum.

Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
That prop is certainly seeing the World! Very good combination there, Lieven, "The TP at Pegasus Bridge"!
They should have left the original bridge there though, complete with it's bullet holes and other battle damage! But at least I'm glad it's now preserved, when I was there some years ago it was sitting in a nearby field, covered in rust!

With the barrage of 24/7 shock news and dime-a-dozen punditry we're so polluted with, it's easy to forget just how closely connected we all are. [/rant]

Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
Thanks guys. Too bad I can't give the prop a spin (other than by hand), I haven't got proper fuel.

Awesome pic Lieven! I actually like the color pic better, shows a good contrast between past and present.
I use to be a big WW2 nut, here's a pic of me back in the day doing WW2 living history. I was front page on the Sunday edition of the State Gazette paper that covered all of Tennesse, Aug. 25,1996

Re: Where has the Traveling Prop Been?
The travelling propellor was supposed to go to Coxaddicted. However, he informed me by PM that he will be on holiday and it would be difficult for him to take care for the TP. As per list, I will send it to the next destination: Shawn in Maryland.
