How many of us ride at fast speeds? or go mountain biking?
this is one thing that I love doing, I tend to ride my trek with 29'' tires around 30 miles per just for fun. i do alot of mountain biking because here in lakewood colorado we have really great trails Smile
I love riding up steep hills because it takes way more effort and has made me way stronger that i used to be. Here is a pic from the top of a small mountain a couple miles away from my house, in the back ground is my little brother Austin, and a little further into the back ground is Denver Colorado

Me and my bro' road today with my awesome uncle, road to the top of a long steep hill then to a relative's house then bombed down a hill... I was going at least 40mph because i was going faster than the red car behind me. I got to the bottom and realized that my rear brake was completely burned up from stopping! Stupid e decided to see if it was hot...

here is what the disk brake is supposed to look like...

here is the brake now...

it did not feel good when i touched it lol, im just glad the burn is not worse and i did not crash and skin my self up

so my question is, who here rides mountain bikes. If you do, post your pics of your bikes. Im sure we would like to see the different ones that people ride

Being almost 4 times your age, I don't ride mountain bikes, but have been a cyclist for my entire adult life. I'm not sure how many miles I've accumulated over 45 years, but it's in the neighborhood of 80,000+. My longest trip was from western KY to Anchorage, AK.

I do, not nearly as much as you do though. Mostly because there is nowhere to ride offroad. Its harder for me to ride onroad with a mountain bike because of the large tires and suspension.

At our old house I would ride it on trails behind the railroad tracks in the back of the neighborhood. Through creeks, mud, sand, clay, all kinds of stuff.

I'll upload a picture of my bike tomorrow.

I still got my old Bridgestone RB-2 and my Nishiki Cascade both from 1990, don't ride much last couple years, been doing alot of disc golf. Had a set of inverted tread Continental Town & Country, just replace them with some Michelins.

here's a old photo from several years ago I remember having...was building a slot car track.
