It was mainly used on free-flight helicopters in the 90's
I think I've only seen it on only some of the Attack Cobras...

Re: WTB Cox .049 Lancer Muffler
I am still looking for another sample of this muffler, in particular the top part.

Re: WTB Cox .049 Lancer Muffler
"Lower 48 only"
Why are so many eBay sellers so lazy? It's bad business.

Re: WTB Cox .049 Lancer Muffler
They don't realize how easy it is. Bernie, I'll buy it if you want me to and ship it to you.
Re: WTB Cox .049 Lancer Muffler
Travis,
I tried to buy it and was blocked so, yes, please buy it.
I need only the top part (black ring) shipped to China and you are welcome to keep everything else.
Just let me know total cost, incl. shipping to you and to China and I will Paypal you the funds net (no Paypal fees for you).
Thanks in advance.

Re: WTB Cox .049 Lancer Muffler
Yes, and I'll even give it to you at no charge
When you have the ring could you please measure the OD? I had previously bought such a muffler but it had a mismatched ring. It was the bigger one from the traditional muffler.
Might even be an idea to ask the seller to measure the ring. The 'traditional" one measures 1.03" (I think) and the Lancer one is smaller. I am not at the office on weekends, hence don't have access to the info.
Thanks

Re: WTB Cox .049 Lancer Muffler
Judging by the picture it has the correct ring. I take you bought it as it's no longer for sale?
Re: WTB Cox .049 Lancer Muffler
Why do you call it a Lancer Muffler? Only thing I've seen it on was a Cobra Attack helicopter...
Re: WTB Cox .049 Lancer Muffler
Will you have .049 muffler top and outter rings also? How about some of those Tee Dee needle valve rachets (clickers)?

Re: WTB Cox .049 Lancer Muffler
No to all 3 questions, unfortunately. Tooling costs are too high.
The only reason we are making the tops for the Lancer muffler is because we are making the muffler. The simple design assures a retail price of $9.95.
The top part is reasonably priced to manufacture because it is stamped. Making another run of 1,000 tops for the traditional muffler makes little sense as there is no way we will sell 1,000 tops by themselves in a lifetime.
The round adjustment spring and the TD needle ratchet are surprisingly expensive du to the initial tooling cost. We would have to make 1,000 at a retail price of $3.95 and that would make for very poor sales. If we made 10,000 we could do a 99 cent price but 10,000
