Reed Valve

I got a chuckle out of this. I was tinkering with the Cox 140 chainsaw engine and found this reed in the carburetor fuel pump. Look familiar?

I haven't done much with it yet. Can't decide if I should get it running and try it or just restore it. I dissected a Roper engine today for the fun of it, that's actually what that piece in the picture is from. (For everyone besides Travis, I bought a Cox Beaver chainsaw from him.)
