If you run out of space - don't hide things away. Leave them where you can see them.

Don't put spares etc. away in drawers, cupboards etc. Keep them in one place where you have to walk around them and remind yourself what you have.

Feel free to take over any room or surface that you need. It will be cleared when you have finished.

I left mine out in the rain for a couple of days. Fit only as an engine test stand now. Luckily my son bought me a new one for Xmas. He's a good lad for a Teenager, with all the attitude you need. Still, been theere seen it done it Flying

Now there are no excuses.

I am not single but my "better half" is extremely tolerant but, together with the little doggy, is only allowed in my workshop by invitation.

However, it is not one sided. There are rooms that when I am in full "smell, mess and noise" mode, I am discouraged from entering as they are dominated by her hobbies; music, reading and baking.

There is an obvious lack of enthusiasm to be in close proximity when I am in, or displaying the effects of, the full "smell, mess and noise" mode and I have not yet cleaned up.

They get just as untidy as the areas I use.

The kitchen can be a conflicting area but, again, it encourages project completion!

I get musical accompaniment while I am creating.

I am very fortunate!

I am not letting this one fade though; the Kadet. Rolla sent me the 1/2A plans and it will be my first stick and tissue...err Ultracote build. I will start a build thread because I'll have lots of questions. This will also be my first RC plane. I'll have to let the guys at the club fly it for me at first.
Here's what I want it to look like:
unfinished - Do you have "unfinished project syndrome" - Page 3 Dsc00411

Yes, let someone else fly it. Get yourself a foamie trainer and take some lessons. That looks like 100+ hours of work to me, more than 1/2 of it just cutting materials. Looks like a winner of a design too!

Or to help aid training build a spare stretched span wing with di and polyhedral in it, think like the COC ezbee or goldberg gentle lady wings and you get my idea pretty quick. Those wings do a lot of self correcting if you are up over 100 feet or so and make a not too sharp (rudder)turn and just let go of the sticks it will roll out of the banking on its own. Very forgiving and it adds some drag to be a slower than average but great trainer. I`m working up just such an idea to get back to basics as I am far too rusty on the sticks for anything I have ready to fly at this moment if my last 28 second flight was any indicator lol!

If it looks like a 100 hour build, it will probably take me 200. BUT, the good news is, I found it in a kit for $11.00!

Well crapola... I guess you're right. I thought I'd found the easy way out. I have a PDF that may have come from your plan posted at RCG. I'll have to take it to the copy shop and see if they can make it dimensionally correct.

This unfinished project syndrome is scary. I didn't realise it's as widespread as it is. I thought it was something I'd inherited from dad. He has it real bad, He gets an RC scale project nearly finished gets inspired by something else and starts another. He is even converting unflown projects from i/c to electric. We are talking weeks of work, sometimes months. I have a new self imposed rule in my workshop. I cannot start a new project untill I've completed the one I'm on, and it's in my Cox gallery. Leaving the plan on the dining room table and talking about it endlessly to anyone who will listen, even if they're not, is permissable.
