Do you have "unfinished project syndrome"
Hey after reading ados thread about his tether car it reminded me of all the projects I have still unfinished and forgotten ... Too many I think that's the ones I have lying around I can see !!! Some date back to 2002 !!! Ever had the feeling that when something stays in the same place to long your eyes don't see it and it becomes part of the furniture well I do ... Really must spend time completing things rather than building more !!!!
Anybody else share my pain ? Let's see those unfinished projects whatever they may be boat, plane, car , hovercraft , submarine!! Whatever it is
Become part of the unfinished project help group !!
So all gather round in a circle and get help .
I shall start it off ....
"my name is Phill and I am an addicted to starting projects"

Re: Do you have "unfinished project syndrome"
1/10 scale old school wedge hydro original plan was just hull but added detail on top cockpit v12 etc also just in need of finishing some filler doping papering and painting then finished Have the prop and props haft esc water cooling coil just need to build up a racy 11t single 540 motor for it should go like "s**t off a shiny shovel" when done original plan called for a micro switch to turn power on and off no throttle here it's all or nothing decided against that!! Especially as my local boating pond isn't that big should be good fun though

I have 3 unfinished. Mostly due to being bitten by the CL bug. All the RC was set aside.

Nice try, but I doubt it LOL
Re: Do you have "unfinished project syndrome"
I got 2 hanging in the basement needing a final coat of paint, and the wings installed. I blame the weather. I can't paint in the house. I also need fresh epoxy.
I was supposed to take the Christmas tree down last week. I can assign blame...
With my RC airplanes my glider sits with the RC kit half re-installed. I blame myself for putting it up 20 years ago with AA batteries in it, the result was obvious. I am going to try a modulated receiver in it when I get to it, hopefully before spring. I need to build a pod since there are no good hills around here.

Re: Do you have "unfinished project syndrome"
My basement is kinda scary. This house is mostly crawl, with just a little basement that has the utilities and all the stuff we haven't unpacked since we moved in 4 years ago, all the stuff we need to store...
Yea, Basement. Another unfinished project. The builder didn't finish digging it 40 years ago!

Re: Do you have "unfinished project syndrome"
OK. I can't find my pictures from while I was building it... I wonder if they are on the old computer.
They are Zingers, but I had a scale error on printing so the wing rib is a little bigger than it is supposed to be.
Bought the epoxy today at least. I need to find the thickening powders in the garage.
As for my hole, I mean basement, I have removed some dirt from it (when I installed a sump pump), but right now I am working on a ditch to direct water around my house. Hey, another unfinished project. My wife calls it my "moat" I shall hopefully finish it this next summer, or pay someone to finish it for me. Ground is a little frozen for digging right now. I have moved yards and yards of dirt on this "little" project, but I know this little ditch works since the sump only occasionally runs now instead of near constantly, and the floor stays dry too.

unfinished projects
I would simply say I am pacing myself. SWMBO would disagree
My current excuse (besides weather) is I seriously underestimated how much space model building takes and this 10' x 11' reloading and model airplane room is too cluttered with all my accumulations.
Can't even start a new project much less finish any of the airplanes or plastic model cars I started last fall until I get off my butt and clean out my 30' X 40' auto garage and re-partition it so one end is heated and cooled for this hobby. SWMBO has approved the cash outlay to make it comfy and functional with new lighting, workbenches, cabinetry, proper tools, and storage racks (hanger space)
When weather is nicer I plan some before pictures and follow the project through like a new build
I plan an proper vented engine run cell as well as proper vented Doping / painting station
Now where did I hide the Rossi .45 I started to break in back in 1976.... OH there it is under the tins of Hodgdon's Universal Clays (reloaders will understand)

Fred
I understand my workshop is a brick out building 12x8 internally I find it difficult to find space to build anything at the mo .. Partly because I'm lazy and don't tidy up as much as I should
That sounds like an awesome project a purpose made modelling workshop I'm well jealous out of my reach but would love to see pics when u get round to it am thinking that's definitely a long term project ? Well worth the time and effort though good stuff
