Yes Please Do! Maybe we can boost the numbers of the "Ringmaster Fly-a-Thon" this Fall with the guys over on the Brotherhood of the Ring forum. I've consistently missed participating for some 3 years now, so maybe this will be my Break-Out Year !!!

It flies!
However after 2 runs the pilot is mooning me...
It is not trimmed right and I can't get the engine to cooperate. It starts at 6.5 turns out, but gets 3 turns in to run... it is nose heavy I think because it is unresponsive. It glides really nice though...
At the school I have flown at there is a turn around, and the circle is too small, but I can launch in the grass and have half a circle. The other half is over grass.

That Fox shook him loose!
Glad you are flying it, I like the picture of you sighting up the lines.
How much time does that Fox have on it? Sounds like it may need to be broke in. Do you have a piece of fuel hose around the needle?

Re: My Swap-Meet Ringmaster ! Smack Down!!!! The Resurrection Begins!!
It runs out pretty quickly. I think it is a 2 oz tank, which seems a little small. I probably was running too rich. I just started the second qt through this Fox 35, so it is far from broke in.
Fuel line on the needle? I'll look and think about that.
I leaned it till it was 2-stroking strong, then richened till it was breaking 4-stroke. One flight it was much more powerful than the other. This engine does not restart nicely yet, so only 2 flights.
I had a hard time with lines tight in a wingover, and only got a single loop out of it, and it nearly pancaked. I think I should leave it leaned out a bit and see next time. I am going to leave the balance where it is for now, even though I am sure it is nose heavy.
Funny think is running circles it just about pulled my shoulder out...

Sounds like it's too rich. Launch with the engine running at a 4 and breaking into a 2 every so often. Or tip the nose up and make sure it breaks into a 2. Or just run it in a wet 2 and you will have all the power you need. If you already knew all that then please forgive me.
The fuel tubing is to negate air leaks like our beloved Cox engines. You may just want to Purchase a PA needle. I converted both of mine to the newer fox needle.

Re: My Swap-Meet Ringmaster ! Smack Down!!!! The Resurrection Begins!!
The newer needle won't physically work with this plane, unless I butcher the nose. I have a Fox remote nva that I wanted to run, but that also won't physically work unless I chop things up. I'll look into getting the hose on it for the next try. I don't have reason to believe it is leaking air though.
I know the state of break-in is working against me, but I don't want to bench another quart through the engine. I benched a quart through it and the ease of operation is night and day better, but it still is hard to restart. The first start is a lot easier.
I probably had it too wet. I'm going to try flying it in a 2-stroke at least once to see what it is like. (It can't be too bad, really. 1/2a go in circles fast!) I also had the "shortened" prop on from cutting into the wooden launch deck I used last try. I am contemplating trying a 3-blade since the landing gear is somewhat short, but on asphalt I seemed to have much better ground clearance.
My take off roll was also almost an entire half circle for both flights, but as soon as it wanted sky it jumped up sharply. My handle seems adjusted nicely, I probably was giving too much up from having my hand slightly raised. I am used to a wing wrap stooge not rolling take off. (My pink zinger took off in a very similar manner after a rather short roll)

That takeoff does seem lengthy, another indication of a too rich setting. Although you you would get max points in a contest
Try a 9.5x6 or a 10x6 on the prop, even at full bore your Super Ring won't be as fast as 1/2A.
It will take some fiddling, but you'll figure it out.
