OK! OK! How many of us picky CL guys noticed that either the picture was reversed or the tank is upside down 'cause the fill/vent is on the outboard side...on Sweet Lil Blue?

It might be that way because it shows easier in a pic that it's a stunt tank with the engine facing to the right. Huh...

Is that photo a mirror image? It's kind of hard to get the pickup in the right position with the fuel vents on that side.

Not a mirror image but I guess I never gave this any thought. Viewed from the rear, where should the tubes be? Left or right for any Cox engines with stunt tanks (Black Widow, Golden Bee, etc)? Never thought about his Embarassed

There will be 100 only. We are currently debating whether to email all buyers of the Xtreme and offer to reserve the identical # for the blue engine for 7 days, after which their # goes back into the pool and all remaining engines in the pool will be compared against and requests for #'s.

Your suggestion re no "0" in front is a good one, thanks.

We planned to do like with the Xtreme, suppress the tank sales so no one can "forge" one. However, the red crankcases are availavle by themselves but not the blue ones so we might sell teh tanks by themselves.

Thanks to everyone who contributed name suggestions. Here is a non-photoshopped picture, which will better show the actual colour:

Looking at the engine from the rear we CL flyers put the tube somewhere between 4:00 and 3:00. I use 3:00 for stunters and 4:00(right on top of the screw boss) for flat lap trainers that may do a loop or two. That way the centrifugal force(or whatever it's called) keeps the fuel around the pickup. The metal tanks have a little shelf for the 3:00 position.

EDIT: Oh, I didn't answer the question. The vent tubes should be on the left, as viewed from the rear. That leaves room to position the pickup tube as I described above.

Actually, it's way too early for me here obviously. I checked our stock of engines and we did place the filler tubes correctly on all engines (except the blue one) and, yes, I am aware of the line requirements for C/L. I was swmaped with emails, blog replies, stc, and had simply not switched on my brain properly lol!

I think it would be a good idea to sell the tanks alone. No one is going to make a fake that easily with your numbers on the cases.

Just a quick note to let those of you that have previously purchased an "Xtreme" engine know that you will be receiving an email today in regards to the "Blue Bullet" reservation.

For those of you that have reserved a certain number on this forum but have not bought the "Xtreme" we will try to honour your request on Monday from the general pool of engines that will be left after the firm reservations of "Xtreme" engine buyers has been processed.
