Just as a point of information, shipping a single engine anywhere in the CONUS runs about $5 via USPS. Use one of their provided cardboard shipping containers available at your local post office..

I use the Paypal USPS shipping website and can send any single engine wrapped in a single layer of bubble wrap then placed inside a bubble pack envelope using first class shipping with confirmed delivery for $1.64 inside a bubble pack envelope. I have sent everything around the world from a Tee Dee .010 to a .09 and have never had anything lost or damaged.

Joe:
It's certainly a matter of choice but I prefer to ship engines in a cardboard box with "bubble wrap" used for padding inside rather than an envelope.
A little more for shipping sure but well worth it IMO.

I would get a .010 in a small flat rate box and had to laugh at the wasted space not to mention the markup that the USPS banks and that they still can't make a profit. Save a tree, eat a beaver.

Joe:
I don't believe that sort of cynicism toward USPS is deserved. Flat-rate boxes are shipped differently that you might imagine. They are shipped especially designed group containers rather than as individual items. Doing so is done for efficiency purposes.
Take a tour of a USPS Processing Facility and see for yourself.

Re: Everything MUST go: Updated
That's not exactly correct. My sister retired from working at the processing center in Federal Way Washington in 2009 and once the mail enters the system it is all handled the same way with the exception of Parcel Post and overseas packages. No special bin. When it gets to the second to last stop before being issued for delivery it is sorted by zip code and then sent out for local processing at a city destination hub.

Re: Everything MUST go: Updated
I'm not so sure that the flat rate system was in place in 2009. USPS has undergone signifcant changes and I'm pretty sure that this was one of them.
United States Postal System is a whole lot different than the old United States Post Office where I worked my way through college in the late 50's and early sixties. Regardless there is a tendancy to "jump on" all sorts of public employment as inefficent and the employees as "slackers". Not so I say.
The old "sour grapes" whine gets really tiresome to someone who spent his entire working career in public employment.
OK SD enough!

Hey Mitch, Instead of just doing a basic thread bump, update your list removing your sold items and then copy and paste it forward to this point in the thread. That way everyone doesn't have to swim back to the beginning of the thread to see what is left.
Just a thought.
Still interested in your F-15. Shoot me a few pics here or by PM.
