Pee Wee manual:

Cox engine guide:

Hope this helps. Did you rebuild the engine? Installed the venturi gasket? Make sure the reed seals doing the suck test? New reed?

Re: Correct Procedure for breaking in a Cox 020 Pee Wee
I think most of us on here have fired them up whilst holding
Them AK, although not the safest thing you'll ever do it
Won't stop it running.
I think the starter spring on the peewee is almost essential,
If you don't have one get one it'll make life soooo much easier.
I think mine have all been around the 3.5 turns out when
Starting, prime the exhaust port, as long as the glow is
A nice bright orange colour and the fuel is good it'll fire.
Good luck.

Hi! I followed all the steps that the manual says and I cant´get started too. So... after 1 hour of trying I have the solution.
1) Fill the tank at top
2) open the needle 3 or 3 1/2
3) put gasoline in the cilinder window
4) rotate propeller counterclockwise
5) connect the power suply (1.5 AA battery)
6) if you have the easy ignition spring, turn one spin and let it go. if you don´t have the easy ignition spring, simply spin it clockwise.
note that rarely start the first time. Here´s my first Pee Wee 020 (it takes my a lot of time to started and I had to replace a lot of parts. (the engine was new but a lot of parts were ruined)
Sorry for my english... I´m from Argentina. I hope I can help you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQhSiWReRKw

The first part of the manual should tell you to attach the engine firmly and not run it your hand, that's just asking for trouble...
The engine doesn't sound right, the prop might be too large (5x3?) or there is some other problem. The engine should easily do about 15000rpm on the stock prop.

1) NEVER run a cox in your hand!!!! Attach it in a piece of wood.
2) I'm not a professional in cox engines but I hear in your video that revolutions are a bit low. You must open the needle a little more. In all my pee wee I have to open about 3 or 3 1/2 laps (not 2 1/2 like in the instructions)

That's your problem then, the prop is simply way too big. Get a stock prop, a cox 4.5x2, before looking elsewhere for any issues.
