Re: The Cox CEF .010 Tee Dee
I'm thinking of trading the CEF 010 to another CEF member. Does anyone who helped with this project have any reservations? I told him that it has to stay within CEF.
Re: The Cox CEF .010 Tee Dee
I do have a gold one I guess I can part with, I like the colors better and it has a cool little wooden prop. I got to think on this one...
Re: The Cox CEF .010 Tee Dee
I'm going to keep the CEF 010.... I have the red/gold one I can part with (I think)...
Re: The Cox CEF .010 Tee Dee
I should be getting CEF on both sides of the crank case here shortly... I hope.
Re: The Cox CEF .010 Tee Dee
I would keep both........

gun blue will get the cylinder back to its original color, its the exact same thing that cox used, black oxide i believe. many gun sites will have it, like brownells.

I agree with Looper. It's what I use to clean up nicks and scratches. Use it per instructions! I once thought I could make the process qucker by dropping a cylinder into the bottle. I walked away and forgot about it. Ruined my cylinder.

SO what do you think?WingingIt74 wrote:Here's my vision for the CEF .010, what do you all think????
Re: The Cox CEF .010 Tee Dee
I like it Travis, very sharp, but...
My tastes say skip the red. Blue, replace or thoroughly
strip the cylinder and polish the hell out of the everything.
A black spinner would be nice, but I've never seen one for
an .010 . All aside, that's just my $.02
Liking the lettering on the case.

Travis,
In the end it's your engine so whatever you think looks best go with it. The good thing about anodizing the case is the CEF letters will stand out more.
Much like Bob I just like a clean functional engine.
Have fun with it!
