The Wizard can stunt!
Well Kinda....... I have managed to perform some wingovers a roller coaster and..........some inside loops!!!!!
I garnered a few oooooh's and ahhhh's from my son. I did three of em in a row as the bee was on song.
The loops were reaaaaally big but, the were loops nonetheless. I adjusted the elevator to gain a little more deflection and it helped.
Going TDY tomorrow and I have all my wood and supplies in my bag. Gonna come back with a Baby Ringmaster and get the party started.

Re: The Wizard can stunt!
Got your first loops under your belt. There'll be no stopping your growing wildness now. It was only a little more than a year ago I was punishing my poor Li'l Jumpin' Bean learning to do loops. My chopped Stuntman23 bailed me out when I discovered it was indestructible, and now the Baby Flite Streak has put them all to shame. You'll amaze your friends and neighbors with the Baby Ringmaster.
If you can do triple loops without successive loops growing larger, you have it trimmed out really well. Try adding elevator until you find that point where it begins to tail stall and the loops grow, then go back to the previous setting. Also as your muscle memory gets more sure handed, you can try lightening the nose a tiny bit, moving your CG back a little, like an 8th of an inch at first. I'm sure you know all that from your RC flying.

The Baby Ringmaster loops amazingly. If you get a powerful enough engine on it and it would loop within 2 feet without stalling. A very cool thing to see happen.

Ha! I know it sounds silly although, the Hotel is quiet and I have all my spare time to myself and can stay up late if I want! No responsibilities and zero distractions.
Now if only Marriott would get on board and not be so upset when I spill CA all over the credenza.

I guess I should have been more clear 3 loops within a single run, not successive. They were really big and quite ugly. I just gave full up elevator and committed to the fact the plane may not make it through. Luckily it did so I did two more. On my fourth attempt It leveled out at ground level if you catch my drift......
Still, the Wiz lives to fly again thanks to Goldbergs fancy elastic landing gear. I am very excited to do a Ringmaster and Joe is selling me a Bean since Brodak didn't come through for me.
I really am enjoying myself! I get it now Rusty!
Thanks for the CG tips I will play around a little as my skill improves.
Ron

If they give you a hard time, just break
out the ultra-violet light.

I have a Killer Bee on mine. I think I will try the Space Hopper. It is easy to tune. I think I will build another and try a bladder tube!

I watched that Hotel reality show for a few minutes once. They were using a black light waaaaay to much bodily fluids. I am happy to just not know what lies beneath! No need to apologize it was funny and something to keep in mind as much as I stay in hotels. I will now always have the upper hand.
Sorry.

Re: The Wizard can stunt!
Forgot to mention in my original post that I finally talked my son into releasing the plane. He wasn't keen on doing it as he doesn't like the noise but, he did it anyway. We did a few dry runs of release and running away from the circle before I started the engine. I used the cardboard runway this time. Poor kid froze and was mesmorized by the plane taking off. I had to yell "RUN" before he snapped out of it and ran off.

Sounds like good mental conditioning for this hobby and several others! We do it all the time. When a redneck yells run, you NEVER say, "Uh?"...as it's usually too late by then...

I take it that you have not yet discovered the old "pack a cardboard building board in your luggage" trick!

I always ask for a spare trash bag at the hotel desk. They never refuse. Lay it out flat on the table to catch everything.
And that little note pad by the phone makes a nice cutting board.

Na, usually there is a Hobby Lobby everywhere I go and they sell build boards for around a buck. Cheap enough to use and then toss
