Larry is a standup guy and a great person to deal with. If looking for C/L supplies, check out his site:
Kittingittogether.com
He was a frequent poster over in RCU and knows a significant amount about 1/2A engines and mods.

Re: Col. Driskill
I certainly can't say enough about Larry. I never met Larry formally but he has helped my son and several member of our club through the years. Larry was the importer of VA engines for a few years. This was the rear exhaust solid case MK II. The earlier MK1 had a case made in two halves having the power of a good TD but even lighter. I fly Larry's Litehawk in 1/2A combat exclusively and Larry has been a incredible help in providing us the parts for these planes. Unfortunately, Larry doesn't supply these parts any longer or the kits that used to be sold in pairs. Larry has always given good advice when needed on engine problems and trimming issues. He's quick to respond to e-mails for an individual that is really quite a busy person. Ken

Re: Col. Driskill
My first encounter with Larry, other than having heard the name, was actually last night. I have a new Norvel Revlite Big Mig .061 and found a long detailed thread covering the break-in procedure I had been searching for. It was Larry's posts that finally got me to the point of being satisfied that I was equipped with the knowledge I needed to get her done.

Re: Col. Driskill
Rusty, Larry has a thread about prop diameters. One problem that most 1/2A users are faced with is finding props. Although APC props are readily available, the 1/2 A combat group was using the Russian props. These props are somewhat difficult to obtain and are only available to certain individuals. Larry advocates the use of Cox props due to cost and reliability and availability. In the case of your Big Mig and engines of the likeness, Larry explains how to trim the prop to a desired diameter and what to expect. Great information and I use his techniques as well. It becomes an easy way to control engine / plane speed. I start with his initial recommendation of trimming a 1/4" off each blade at a time. Ken

Re: Col. Driskill
Thanks a lot, Ken. I spend more worrying over props than almost anything else, these days since I've been a performance nut.
