Friendlies
I can identify many different planes simply by their sound signature. I heard this howling sound so I stepped outside with a camera. Now I know what 66.7 billion dollars sounds like. Hope I don't get into trouble for posting these.

Re: Friendlies
Weird. I just recently heard a very loud howling go over my house. They are usually A-10 Warthogs. I did not get a chance to see it this time. They cross over a couple times a year. Not many planes fly low around here. Commercial Airliners are way up high. Occasional drug search helicopter.

I am right off the approach to the runway. I've seen some planes come in and make the turn to final right over my yard so low that you can see the pilots visors quite well.

Re: Friendlies
Of all the aircraft I have had the oppertunity to see up close the F-22 has by far the most breathtaking vertical climb I have ever seen. It is truly a sight to behold. Mere seconds from liftoff until it is out of view.
